I am me. They call me Daniel Zopoula. I am a Husband, Father, Friend, Life Coach, Spiritual Adviser, Author, Speaker, Activist…. and I am an advocate on behalf of the poor, the oppressed and the needy, those who cannot speak on their own behalf.
I was born in a poverty stricken village in the country of Burkina Faso, West Africa where I lived until the age of 24. The miraculous turn of events that brought me to North America was made possible by individuals who provided me with the opportunities that enable me to be and morph into the person I am still becoming.
When an individual is helped out of poverty and despair, the possibilities are infinite; they move from beneficiary to benefactor. I am so glad someone cared enough to invest in me, to help me achieve the long tedious journey, from beneficiary to benefactor – now, thousands of children are following my footsteps, out of their own poverty and I am so glad someone care!
So, until the shadows lengthen and the evening comes, the busy world is hushed, the fever of life is over, and our work is done, I shall continue at every opportunity to step up speaking on behalf of all those who cannot speak for themselves. At every opportunity I am going to put their case forward. I cannot back down even one little bit.
My story speaks of redemption, hope and healing; so will their stories. My story has, and will continue to offer hope to a world tortured by hopelessness. So will their stories. I am devoted to fully experience what it means to fully unleash the worth and potential of people everywhere, profoundly impacting the way they Live.
Through speaking up on behalf of the poor, the oppressed and the needy; those who cannot speak for themselves, I am committed to seeing similar stories of redemption lived out in the lives of thousands upon thousands of children as well, witnessing the personal investment of thousands of other extreme advocates in the like of those who gave me the opportunity to be and become.
Above all, “Thou shalt not be a victim, thous shalt not be a perpetrator, but above all, thou shalt not be a bystander.” – Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C.
Always, still becoming, Daniel Zopoula
